Birdlips Music Video
Overview
Cliff Usher and Lindsay were coming through LA some time back and I pitched them a crazy idea of just shooting some kind of music video in two days. I said we’ll keep it simple and won’t expect too much of it so that we won’t feel disappointed if, pardon my french, it turned out like shit.
Luckily for me, I also currently had access to a 5D that I was dying to play around with and find out what all the hype was about. So we shot in two locations and caught a beautiful sunset on Mount Hollywood and mixed it with an indoor performance with a projection on them. Sunsets and projections are certainly cheap video tricks to make things look cool, but I think that’s what we were going for and it paid off. The 5D really amazed me on the Sunset footage and I am now a proud owner of a T2i because of it.
This still needs some more attention cutting wise (I cut it in about 3 hours), but I think it looks pretty good.
